Served as managing partner of eight lawyers and nine support staff. Responsible for evaluating, strategizing and assigning all cases after consultation with staff attorneys. Practice grew thru the cooperative effort of all staff members to over 400 open and active files. The law firm and specialized in employment litigation and worker’s compensation claims. Served as lead attorney on such landmark cases as Jenkins vs. American Red Cross (race and age discrimination), Moorman vs. John Hancock Company (race discrimination), Ewers vs. Stroh Brewery (age discrimination), and Byrnes vs. Frito Lay (handicap discrimination). Extensive experience in litigating and resolving employment discrimination conflicts and wrongful discharges including meeting with clients, employers, and insurance companies to discuss and resolve employment and pension issues; preparing legal documents; arguing cases at all court levels; performing labor contract negotiations; and advising small to medium-size corporations in legal and business matters and preparation and filing of income tax claims in The U.S. Tax Court.
