Biography

Robert E. Lee “Bob” Wright is a pioneer in mediation and ADR in Michigan. Since 1987, he has arbitrated or mediated over 1,000 disputes. Bob mediates a wide array of disputes involving business, employment, bankruptcy, divorce and other matters. 

In addition to his wealth of practical experience, Bob inspires and motivates participants through his insightfulness, empathy, compassion and love for the mediation process. Described as a "mediator's mediator," he also trains mediators.

Bob is Chair-elect of the Grand Rapids Bar Association ADR Section and is a past Chair of the ADR Section of the State Bar of Michigan; past chair of the Practice Management Committee for the ABA DR Section; and volunteer mediator and past Chair of the Dispute Resolution Center of West Michigan. Bob is a past member of the Kent County Circuit Court ADR Plan Oversight Committee; member of ICLE’s Mediation Advisory Board; and serves on various ADR work groups convened by the Michigan Supreme Court’s Office of Dispute Resolution.
