Ethan's long-term commitment to volunteer work and helping disadvantaged children helped him develop a sense of empathy and patience, and ultimately caused him to pursue a different type of professional satisfaction. He decided that he wanted to be in a field of law where he could make a difference in the personal lives of individual clients. He earned a dual degree in Accounting and Information Systems from New York University Stern School of Business where he was an Alumni Scholar and elected Beta Gamma Sigma for placing in the top 8% of his class. He received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School where he was a William P. Richardson Scholar.Ethan is fluent in Korean and his legal columns are published in the Korea Daily, Senior US Times, Korea Times and other publications. He has appeared on MKTV, KNN News, TKC-TV, KBN-TV and continues to be interviewed on radio 1660 AM - New York in news segments related to senior issues.
